Remote PV power plant monitoring using the SolarMax MaxView app

The new free MaxView app for iOS and Android devices allows for flexible and prompt monitoring of private PV power plants. SolarMax's MaxView app is now available for all iOS and Android devices. As a new feature, the output values of the PV power plant will be updated at 15-minute intervals from June so yield monitoring becomes even more efficient and the application has been made more user-friendly in the web browser.

Registration with MaxView offers additional advantages to customers: if service is required, the PV power plant and inverters are identified quickly by hotline staff and problems can be identified and remedied more efficiently. In order to be able to use all MaxView features and to directly access the yields of a PV power plant, the inverter must only be connected to the home network. The application indicates both 15-minute, daily, monthly and annual as well as total yields of a plant and provides for the option of comparing them.

Plant operators may represent their data in different graph types or create and export tables."The MaxView app is the direct connection to the PV power plant. It allows for tracking plant yields in a prompt, location-independent, and uncomplicated manner," said Rudolf Bühler, product manager for data communication at SolarMax.

"By coupling the MaxView plant registration with our service management tool, our hotline is capable of immediately identifying the PV power plant. Thus, the plant operator loses little time even in case of failure and is provided with quick support. This way, the PV power plant can achieve maximum yields at any time."
MaxView is compatible with P and HT series inverters and future SolarMax string inverters and does not result in any additional costs for plant operators.
